Kingston Water Department Issues Cold Weather Tips
The KWD operates and maintains over 900 hydrants throughout the City. After a snowstorm, personnel - with assistance from the KFD - begin the task of shoveling out each hydrant so that they are accessible in the event of a fire emergency. If you are able, we ask that you help us by keeping the hydrant near your home or business clear of snow this winter.
