The Kingston Office of Community Development offers two federally funded residential housing programs for low/moderate income eligible City of Kingston homeowners within HUD designated neighborhoods. These designated neighborhoods are determined by the U.S. Census Bureau census tract areas. Both programs provide assistance to existing low/moderate income eligible owner-occupied homeowners to aid in rehabilitating their homes and to comply with code violations. One program is offered through a grant of up to $20,000 and the other is a 50-50 residential loan-grant of up to $15,000 which is interest free and payments may be spread out over a 10 year period.
