Commodities

The City of Kingston has joined forces with other municipal agencies to create the Hudson Valley Municipal Purchasing Group (HVMPG) and provide a Regional Bid Notification System. Vendors and Suppliers will only have to register once to have access to bidding opportunities from all the members of the HVMPG. Suppliers and contractors are invited to visit the Bidder‚s Registration section where they can register for the City's and HVMPG‚s Bidders List, view and download current Requests for Quotations, Invitations to Bid and Requests for Proposals.

Properties

General Procedure for Purchase of Surplus City Properties - Unless a formal sale is being held, surplus properties may be purchased from the City of Kingston, at any time of the year, off of the established list. New properties are added to the list on a periodic basis, as the City takes title to them. The list is available on this Web Site or from the Kingston Planning Office, City Hall. Prospective bidders, interested in any of the listed properties, must pick up the specific bid package for that parcel. The bid packages include detailed information about the property and also include the necessary forms which must be completed and signed. A 10% bid deposit is required with all bids. It must be in the form of a certified or bank check, and made payable to the City Comptroller. If an individual is bidding on more than one property, separate bids and checks must be submitted. All bids are to be submitted to the Kingston Planning Office. For more information, please contact the Planning Office at (845) 334-3955 or via email at planning@ci.kingston.ny.us.
