Block Park Paving
& Upgrades Complete
KINGSTON,
NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble and the Parks and Recreation Department are pleased
to announce that the Block Park parking lot and pavilion access road have been
paved.
Along
with Abeel Street from Hudson to Ravine, the Block Park parking lot paving has
been completed. In addition, the parking lot was graded to improve drainage.
Other improvements include a streamlined entrance/exit with new signage,
guiderails, and ADA bathroom upgrades.
“We
are thrilled to have this project completed, with a graded parking lot for
better drainage, much-needed repairs to the lot and entrance, and enhanced
public access to the pavilion,” said Mayor Noble. “My thanks to the Parks and
Recreation Department for bringing this project to fruition and the Department
of Public Works for getting this project completed in this paving season.”
Block
Park paving and upgrades were fully funded through the Community Development
Block Grant.
