Free Indoor Playground Program Opens December 2, 2025
KINGSTON, NY – Mayor Steven T. Noble and the Director of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce that the Indoor Playground program at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center will be open to the public starting on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
The free indoor play space will be open to pre-school aged children from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Tuesdays and Fridays in the gym at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center, located at 467 Broadway in Midtown Kingston. Adults are required to stay with their children at all times.
Mayor Noble said, “We are pleased to open the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center for small children to have a warm, safe place to play in the colder months. I want to thank the Parks & Recreation Department team for putting on this program from the community and utilizing our indoor facility in this way.”
Lynsey Timbrouck, Director of Parks and Recreation said, “The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to bring back the Indoor Playground for another season! This popular program serves as an alternative option for little ones to stay warm while they play and socialize during the colder months. We look forward to seeing the community very soon.”
Replace the Parks is a free drop-in program with no registration is required. The program will take a holiday break beginning on December 26, 2025, and will resume on January 6, 2026. The program will run weekly on Tuesday and Fridays until March 27, 2026.
When Kingston City Schools are on a 2-hour delay or closed due to inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.
While the program is generally designed for the toddler and pre-k age group, all children are welcome to participate.
